Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, 2020 left the nation shocked. Since then, several shocking revelations have come forward. Rhea Chakraborty was accused by Sushant’s father KK Singh of abetting Sushant’s suicide, in an FIR filed by Sushant’s father in Patna. Now, Rhea Chakraborty has reportedly filed a fresh petition in the Supreme Court alleging ‘unfair media trial’ and ‘attempts to pronounce her guilty for the death of the actor’, reports Times Now.

The report in Times Now states that in her 11-page affidavit, Rhea has reportedly alleged that Sushant’s death case is being ‘blown out of proportion’ eyeing the upcoming Bihar Assembly election. Earlier, Rhea had filed a petition in the apex court seeking the transfer of investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case from Bihar to Mumbai.

Meanwhile, earlier today, Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and father appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for another round of questioning in connection with the probe by ED in the money laundering case which was filed on the basis of the complaint filed by KK Singh. Siddharth Pithani also appeared before the ED today, and was clicked by the paparazzi. He was seen evading media questions as he made his way to the ED office in Mumbai.

Rhea was also summoned by the ED on Friday, that is, August 7, and she was reportedly interrogated for about nine hours by the ED.  Meanwhile, it was on August 5 that the Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the Supreme Court that the Centre had accepted the Bihar government’s recommendation of an inquiry by the CBI into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
